Porównanie skuteczności tradycyjnej kinezyterapii i terapii manualnej w leczeniu przewlekłego zespołu bólowego dolnego odcinka kręgosłupa

Journal Title: Rehabilitacja w Praktyce - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

Low back pain is a significant medical and social problem. The aim of the study has been to compare the efficacy of two physiotherapeutical methods that are used frequently in the treatment of symptomatic low back pain. The subjects were 60 individuals aged 27 to 55 years. They were randomly divided into two groups of 30 people: A (conventional kinesiotherapy) oraz B (manual therapy). The visual analogue scale and Laitinen modified scale were used to assess pain. The function of the lumbar spine was examined using the goniometry of active rotation movements and side bends, as well as Thomayer’s test. The study has demonstrated a similar decrease of low back pain in the patients subjected to conventional kinesiotherapy as compared to manual therapy. Both of the applied methods have caused similar increase in the L–S spine mobility.
