PORTRAIT OF THE EPOCH IN PROSE BY P. VOLVACH

Abstract
The article analyzes the originality of P. Volvach's artistic manner in highlighting social contradictions on examples of novels "Khreshchatyk-plaza" and "Dreams of the neophyte". The features of embodiment of intellectual stream of consciousness, epatage game are investigational, the mechanisms of creation of colourful social and psychological portraits are considered. The focus is on the image of the town's topos as part of the portrait of the epoch of the XX-XXI century.
