Posmarxism: between populism and the popular national in Latin America

Abstract
The theory of populism and the concept of the popular national have been used to think Latin American political problems. Gramsci's critical Marxist readings included the national-popular as a key element, while the theory of populism (post-Marxist) also relied on Gramsci but without much attention to this concept. This article proposes an inclusion of the national-popular issue of Gramscian inspiration as a way of contributing to a political theory of populism capable of thinking about the conformation of the subject "people" and the political strategies of the national-popular forces.
