Possibilities to use of thermal waters of the central part of the Nida Basin

Abstract
Thermal waters are the special kind of underground waters, recognised as a valuable raw material. Due to the specific chemical composition and physical properties, they are widely used for recreation and therapeutic purposes and may be a source of thermal energy. The central part of the Nida Basin is one of the most perspective areas of occurrence of thermal waters. Their principal resources are accumulated predominantly in the Devonian, Triassic, Middle and Upper Jurassic and Cenomanian rocks.
