POST TERM PREGNANCY
Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2023, Vol 2, Issue 12
Abstract
Timely onset of labor is an important determinant of perinatal outcome. Although it has long been known that there is a small absolute increase in perinatal mortality as pregnancy is extended beyond the estimated due date, the optimal gestational age to begin formal fetal monitoring (eg, nonstress test, biophysical profile) and the optimal gestational age to schedule delivery, and not continuing expectant management and formal fetal monitoring is more controversial.
