POWER LOSSES OF GEAR SYSTEMS
Journal Title: Проблеми тертя та зношування - Year 2017, Vol 77, Issue
Abstract
This paper provides a review of experimental investigations and available models of gear load-independent power losses (windage losses, churning losses and air-oil pocketing power losses) for spur, helical, and bevel gears. The aim of the review is to provide a comprehensive compilation of published information on gear load-independent power losses to assist gearbox designers in identifying relevant exper-imental and modeling information. While it is clear from the review of published work that the rotational speed, gear geometrical parameters, degree of confinement, and density of the fluid surrounding the gear are important, the degree of effect and general solutions for reducing power loss are less clear. The motivation for this is that for some applications, this power loss can be a significant component, particu-larly lightly loaded high-speed applications.

It was established that multi-stage Electric-spark alloying (ESA) in air with variation of the sequence of doping anodes metals deposition: Ti-Al-Fe; Ti-Fe-Al; Fe-Al-Ti; Fe-Ti-Al; Al-Ti-Fe; Al-Fe-Ti leads to an increase...
THE INFLUENCE OF ROLLING MODES DURING DEFORMATION-DIFFUSION TREATMENT ON WEAR RESISTANCE OF ВТ22 TITANIUM
The influence of rolling modes during deformation-diffusion treatment on wear resistance of ВТ22 titanium was investigation. Deformation-diffusion treatment includes previous cold surface plastic deformation (CSPD) and f...
THE QUESTION OF THE USE OF DYNAMIC MODELS OF DISC BRAKES OF VEHICLES IN ACTUATORS OF HOIST-TRANSPORT MACHINES
A feature of modern lifting machines is the continuous improvement of their operational pa-rameters, such as payload, speed and depth of the lift, reducing the material consumption of equipment due to increased efficienc...
OPTIMIZATION OF THERMO-MECHANICAL CYCLIC STRESSES AT CRITICAL POINTS OF HOT-SECTION COMPONENTS IN GAS TURBINE ENGINES
Estimation methods of thermo-cyclic durability of high-temperature alloys in critical points of hot part components of gas turbine engine and in conditions of accelerated thermo-cyclic tests are given in the article. The...
EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES OF ENERGY LOADING OF FRICTION PAIRS OF BAND-BLOCK BRAKES WITH AN AIR-LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM (part two)
In the materials of the article we’ve disclosed the mechanism for estimating the heat balance of the composite brake pulleys of the band-block brake at the forced air-liquid cooling of it’s matte and polished surfaces. T...
