Journal Title: Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research - Year 2018, Vol 12, Issue 12
Abstract
ABSTRACT First-trimester ultrasound provides an opportunity to screen for various foetal abnormalities. Isolated Diastematomyelia is a rare spinal deformity which is infrequently diagnosed during the first-trimester ultrasound. Here, authors report a case of isolated Type 2 Diastematomyelia which was diagnosed in the 12-week ultrasound during a detailed survey of the foetal spine in view of previous neural tube defects.
