PRINCIPLES OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF COMPANIES: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Abstract
Introduction. Transformational changes in the economy of Ukraine for years of independence require new approaches to the development of cooperation between economic participants. One of these approaches that are aimed at solving problems of social, economic and environmental spheres of functioning of society advocates the concept of sustainable development. However, despite the urgency of this issue among of the national scientists is no unity in understanding sustainability displays at the micro level and, consequently, remains understudied problem of determining the basic principles of sustainable development of enterprises. Methods. The following general scientific and special methods are used to achieve this goal in the study, namely: the analysis and synthesis, abstract and logical, theoretical generalization and comparison, monographic and graphical methods. Results. It was proposed to combine the two approaches to the definition of the principles of sustainable development during the study - from the perspective of system and three-pronged approach to sustainability. Accordingly, the principles of consistency; integrity; adaptively and focus on goals are proposed to include to the general principles of the enterprise development as an open system. Principles for ensuring economic, environmental and social trends of sustainable development covering the principles of economic rationality; innovativeness; warning (caution); economization of environmental and social impact. Discussion. Identification and specification of the principles for sustainable development is an important foundation for further research on allocation of the targets enterprise activity in the conditions of sustainability, basing its functions and obligations under the new economic conditions.
