ПРОБЛЕМА МОНІТОРИНГУ ЯКОСТІ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ В УКРАЇНІ

Abstract
In the article the concept of “monitoring” is analyzed in the context of relevant realities of the education system in Ukraine. The author characterized four historical periods of the monitoring developing all over the world and paid attention to the peculiarities of pedagogical monitoring in Ukraine. The expediency of using of monitoring research as a systematic and comprehensive procedure of measurement of student’s competence is proved. Definitions of the term “monitoring” which exist in modern pedagogical science are analyzed and several directions of its interpretation are singled out. Depending on the aspect on which the researchers emphasize information and static, and prognostic and productive approaches to the monitoring interpretation are proposed.
