Problems of agro-industrial production of agricultural products in the context of European integration processes

Abstract
The article examines the problems of Ukraine in the field of agricultural production within the framework of the European integration process. An assessment of the state of the agricultural production potential and land fund of Ukraine is carried out. The indicators of agro-industrial production of agricultural products of Ukraine and its separate region (Kirovograd region) are described. A comparative analysis of the number of business entities, production volumes of crop and livestock products for 2021 (pre-war period) and for 2022 (post-war period) is carried out in the context of Ukraine and Kirovograd region based on materials from the State Statistics Service in order to assess the capabilities and competitiveness of Ukraine in the foreign market. The issues of the decline in agricultural production are described and the losses of agricultural production since the beginning of the full-scale invasion are estimated. Ukraine's foreign trade with the countries of the European Union and Ukraine's actions on the path to European integration are analyzed. The state of agricultural lands in Kirovograd region was assessed, the main negative factors of agricultural development of territories in the pre-war period were described. Ways of restoring agricultural lands due to existing problems were described. The state of soil cover, which was affected by hostilities, was assessed. The principles and requirements for export products to the European Union market were described. The problems of the agricultural sector of Ukraine in producing products for the external market were analyzed and the measures that must be taken to join the European Union were described. The prospects that the European Union receives from Ukraine's membership and the prospects of Ukraine when granting it the status of a member of the European Union were analyzed. The need to accelerate the process of European integration by Ukraine was substantiated.
