Abstract
The article is devoted to problems of the normative definition of the concept “student” as a subject of educational process in higher education institutions. The author analyzes the given concept, which is enshrined in the “Higher Education Law” of Ukraine and in normative and legal acts of department al nature. The inadequacy of the concept is proved. As a result of the research, the author’s definition of the concept “student” is proposed.
