Journal Title: Вісник Одеського національного університету. Правознавство - Year 2014, Vol 19, Issue 4
Abstract
This article reveals the procedure for providing medical assistance to persons serving sentences of imprisonment. Ability to provide medical care to convicts sentenced to imprisonment is significantly restricted to conditions of detention in places of non-freedom: quality of work of the medical unit, availability of the necessary medicines and qualified doctors, access to medicine of an adequate standard. The work of a lawyer is not only in protection against accusations, but also in an enforcement of rights of the client during the proceedings and serving his/her sentence.
