Process Management in Public Administration

Abstract
The goal of this analysis is presentation of process approach in different concepts of public organizations functioning. The significant field of research on using process management in public administration is working on efficiency evaluation system of these processes. The starting point of this should be describing the level of process advancement in particular offices of public administration. The identification of process advancement in the offices of public administration let also for using appropriate tools helping in management adequate to knowledge and employees’ competences, and information resources as well. The interest on process in public administration is demonstrated in various areas of it functioning, not only in the context of New Public Management. The following concepts as Total Quality Management, Knowledge Management, Reengineering, E-government, Digital Era Governance and Lean Government can be included to these areas. The important elements in process management in public administration is also identification and concentration on operations that give values for citizens. From public organization’s point of view these process let for standardization of actions and behavior of organization.
