Abstract
The article deals with the concept of profiling in general and the police profiling. Legitimate grounds for a democratic society are identified the use by the law enforcement agencies and criminal behavioral profiling. The examples are given end the contest of ethnic profiling as illegal has been come out. The analysis of actions which can be considered as ethnic profiling is carried out. The proposals have been formulating to combat these phenomena
