PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS IN AUSTRALIA AS A SCIENTIFIC AND PADAGOGICAL PRОBLEM

Abstract
The problem of Australian teachers’ professional development in the works of foreign scientists has been considered in the article. Namely, the highlighting of different aspects of teacher professional development on the pages of Australian Journal of Teacher Education has been analyzed. It was revealed that the articles topics have changed from discussing the importance and necessity of professional development to studying ongoing teacher professional development programs, determining their efficiency, benefits and limitations for the past two decades.
