PROPER NAMES OF TV PROGRAMS: STRUCTURE, WORD FORMATION, MOTIVATION

Abstract
The object of the study are proper names of TV programs. The background of the article is determined by the lack of similar studios in domestic philology. The main aim of the article is to outline motifs of name creating in modern conditions on the basis of the material of one of the subspecies of ideonyms. The object of the study is the nomination of all TV programs that were broadcasted on all 31 Ukrainian TV channels during the week (from 6 to 12 April 2015)/ Attention is drawn primarily to the structure, motivation, word formation and semantics of generating basics of such proper names. Such analysis can present accurate information about the policy of certain television channel. The total number of TV programs that have been analyzed is7866. It was found that composed constructions formed in syntactic way are the most productive. In the basis of such names are mostly common nouns (noun combined with other nouns, adjectives and verbs). In such onyms combined motivation is predominant, which elements are essential, associative, locative, temporal or symbolic. The analysis of such proper names should be continued, because for solid conclusions about the specified attributes of telenominatsiy we need a large amount of material.
