PROSODIC FEATURES OF THE MEDIAL STAGE OF THE BUSINESS NEGOTIATIONS IN ENGLISH AND UKRAINIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract

Modern society and modern people lead business negotiations every day and this sphere is still not fully discovered. The article is focused on the peculiarities of prosodic features of the middle stage of business negotiations in Ukrainian and English languages. Intonation is an important and integral factor of the intensity and effectiveness of business negotiations. All negotiations are divided into three parts: initial, medial and final. Each part has its own features of information and is sufficiently different from each other. The topic of the article is business negotiations and their peculiarities. The purpose of the article is to show how important is it to know about all necessary elements of negotiations. Effective communication provides the ladder for becoming a leader in life and business so that’s why communication skills are very important in our life. The information given in the article can be used in future researches in the sphere of phonetics. There is a great need for the development of the science and art of preparing and conducting business negotiations. This article deals with the features of the medial stage of business negotiations in the English and Ukrainian languages, the main characteristics of the process of negotiation. The features of the notion negotiations are considered, the stages are indicated and classification of negotiations is given by various scholars.
