Abstract
The object of this article is the toponyms and the appellative nominations in the Old Ukrainian chronicle «Story of temporal years». The subject of research is the toponyms and the appellatives as the means of creation of the artistic space. The purpose of analyses is to determine the artistic functions, peculiarities of usage, the stylistic connotations, the expression and the potential, the variation of the local lexical paradigm in the chronicle. First of all, the usage of the toponyms and the appellative nominations depends on the contents and the theme the author’s idea are the artistic functions, peculiarities of usage, the stylistic connotations, the expression and the potential, the variation of the local lexis paradigm in the chronicle. First of all, the usage of the toponyms and the appellative nominations depends on the contents and the theme, the author’s idea, that leads to certain functioning of the nominations, the organization of peculiarities of the paradigm in the chronicle. The using of each lexeme is well thought out by the author, and every lexeme illustrates the wade range of imaginative transformations as well as close interaction with other lingual and extra-lingual factors. The result of the study indicates the frequency dynamics of the toponyms and the appellatives. Scope amplitude depends on lingual and extra-lingual factors. Sings are bright, significant and active indicators of the specific nature of the author’s writing, the lexemes reveal the subject and the author’s conception.
