Przegląd badań dotyczących zachowania kierowców na przejazdach kolejowo-drogowych

Abstract
The article presents an overview of 18 studies on behavior of road vehicle drivers, with particular regard to the area of level crossings. The results were divided into a review of national and foreign literature. In the national studies, driving simulators have been used and they have been devoted to drivers' responses to traffic conditions and situations preceding adverse events. Areas of further research of this type have been identified. Among the studies of foreign literature, particular attention has been paid to the following subjects: reaction of drivers to the risk reduction measures used at level crossings, subjective assessment of the speed of objects, as well as so-called risk appetite. A number of observations and conclusions have been made regarding the appropriateness and the use of the research in question.
