Psychological Crisis on Child Experience Sexual Abuse: Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract
Children who experience sexual abuse (CSA) are impacted by psychological crisis. The psychological vulnerability of these children can pose a serious threat to their mental health. This issue warrants critical attention, as sexual represents a profound societal challenge, and psychological crisis frequently emerge as a consequence of CSA. Therefore, an in-depth study of psychological crisis in children who experience sexual abuse is necessary. This study aims to analyze research on psychological crisis in children affected by sexual abuse using bibliometric analysis. The results indicate that data searchers using the keyword “psychological crisis,” “child sexual abuse,” and “victim” yielded 9.690 selected English-language articles. The total number of publications cited is 28,338, with 26,682 citations without self-citations. The average number of citations per article is 13.77. Further collaboration integrating both quantitative and qualitative indicators is necessary. The researchers hope that this study provides both theoretical and practical benefits, with a specific focus on addressing the psychological crises experienced by children who have been sexually abused. This study is expected to contribute for both academics and practitioners, providing a foundational bases for interdisciplinary collaboration and enhancing efforts in the prevention and intervention of psychological crises experienced by sexually abused children.
