PUBLIC SUPPORT OF THE STATE SYSTEM OF PUPILS OF CHILDREN AND SCHOOL OF YOUTH IN BUKOVINIA (END OF THE XIX – THE FIRST THIRD OF THE XX CENTURY)

Abstract
The article describes the functioning of the state system of burns in Bukovina in the first part of ХІХ cen- tury. It has evolved through significant public support. It is indicated that conditions have emerged in the province that contributed to the emergence of different types of trusteeship institutions (polyethnic, polycon- fessional, comparatively homogeneous social composition of the population, education level, etc.) on the basis of cooperation between state institutions and public organizations. Described are trustees and educational institutions that founded and funded national-cultural and religious societies (bursas, burial places (nursery for children), shelters), as well as material forms of support for children and schoolchildren (purchase of textbooks and school supplies, scholarships for gifted students, etc.).
