RATIONALE SURGICAL TREATMENT FOR PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC TONSILLITIS AND PARATONSILLAR ABSCESS

Abstract
The pathomorphological investigation in the tonsils under the chronic inflammation and paratonsillar abscess at all levels (mucous membrane, stroma and parenchyma of tonsils, paratonsillar region), has shown destructive changes of the connective tissue in pseudocapsule, creating conditions for the development of paratonsilitis and paratonsillar abscess. Thus, the amygdala in a state of chronic or particularly in the background of acute inflammation is a causal factor in the development of paratonsillar complications. They are, as a causal factor and to be removed by toselectomy (in the“hot” or “cold” period).
