RECYCLING OF DUMP BLAST FURNACE SLAG IN THE PRODUCTION OF SLAG-ALKALINE ASTRINGENTS

Abstract
The expediency of using the fractions of blast furnace slag dump for slag-alkaline astringent (SAA) is proved. There was recorded the highest activity of SAA based on the factions of dump blast furnace slag and SAL: MMP (2.5–5.0 mm) and "Zaporizhstal" (> 20 mm), when using an alkaline agent of sodium metasilicate the highest activity in SSA based on the factions of dump slag is: DMP and MMP (2.5–5.0 mm).
