Abstract
The provisions on movable property and lost property apply mutatis mutandis to animals (animals that are lost or escaped). Nonetheless, the scope of modifications stemming from the Animal Protection Act is significant enough to justify regulating the issue of stray animals directly, without referencing civil law provisions applied mutatis mutandis. Simultaneously, the interests of the previous owners of animals and property are not sufficiently protected, while purchasing stray animals raises many doubts.
