Journal Title: Geographia Napocensis - Year 2011, Vol 0, Issue 2
Abstract
In the studied area, we have particularized functional units which reflect not only the touristic potential, but also the touristic phenomenon. The study included combining criteria like: homogenous criteria, uniqueness, and landscapes, functional and gravitational criteria which reflect the areal grouping based on the touristic functions determined by the attractiveness and major centers in the area. Based on the geo-landscape point of view, the studied area will be divided as following: the volcanic crater, the volcanic plateau and the area concentrated around the Mures ravine.
