Report on the Third Neurological Disorders Summit (NDS-2017)

Abstract

The 3rd Neurological Disorders Summit (NDS-2017) organized by United Scientific Group was held from July 7, 2017 to July 9, 2017 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Francisco, USA. One hundred thirty five attendees from more than 30 countries presented at NDS-2017 over 3 days with 7 keynote lectures, 80 oral and 41 poster presentations. Of the keynote speakers, Dr. Kenneth Blum (Co-Chairman of NDS-2017), Wright State University, USA conducted “Customized DNA Directed Nutrition to Balance the Brain Reward Circuitry and Reduce Addictive Behaviors” on different products that reduce cravings and addiction by influencing gene expression. Dr. Howard J Federoff conducted “Plasma Metabolomic Profiles and Cognitive Function” showing the implications of plasma metabolomic signature with regard to cognitive function and potential implications for dementia. Dr. Zang-Hee Cho, who developed world’s first circular ring PET, presented “Advances in Neuroimaging and Its Applications: From PET/MRI Fusion Imaging to Super-Resolution”. Dr. Michael Merzenich, a pioneer in neuroplasticity, lectured on “Brain Plasticity and Brain Health”.
