RESCUERS’ INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF INCLINATION TO RISK

Abstract

This paper analyzed the current views on the problem of risk and in its place in the personality structure of extreme professions experts. Inclination to risk was determined as an important professional strength. Results of study the rescuers’ inclination to risk and their personal psychological features were developed. It was considered expressiveness, development of individual psychological qualities of profecioanal rescurers depending on their inclination to risk level. It is noted that professionals with different levels of risk exposure have a different set of personality traits. In such a manner the rescuers with high level of inclination to risk often become leaders in the group, are characterized by extremity and social orientation, they demonstrate openness, sociability, capacity in establishing both interpersonal and social contacts. Employees with medium level are quite impulsive, sometimes not enough emotionally stable, but they are able to work under pressure and distinguish themself as wellminded, pragmatic, self-confident, valid and their behavior is balanced, focused on a specific practice, but emotional outbursts and impulsivity can change its trajectory. The rescuers with low level of inclination to risk mostly characterized by emotional stability, high level of emotions and behavior control, resistance to stress, for another thing they are sober and critical choosing partners for cooperation, they outstand by softness, pliability, sometimes the need for independence and competition. It is suggested for taking the results into account in individual psychological work with rescuers.
