RESEARCH OF TEACHER CANDIDATES' OPINIONS ABOUT ACADEMIC PROFESSION

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the views of the students from Akdeniz University Primary Education Department towards academic profession. For this purpose qualitative research method was used. The study was carried out under a special case study. Semi-structured interview technique was used as data collection instrument which was prepared and validity analysis were made by researchers. The sample group of the research constitutes 13 students who study in Akdeniz University Education Faculty. Nvivo software programme was used to analyze the interviews. According to results, it was reported that, the knowledge of students in terms of academic profession was inadequate.
