It is widely used in dentistry for the last few years due toits unique properties including antimicrobial, immunostimulant, analgesic, antihypnotic and detoxicating effects. Because of its high oxidation potential, is effective against various microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa which are necessary for plaque maintainence. Ozone has been established as a potent denture cleansing agent due to its anti-plaque properties.
