Rights and Obligations of Judges of the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan Republic and the European Union Court of Justice as the Part of their Legal Status

Abstract
The rights and obligations are the elements of the legal status of judges both of the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan Republic and the EU Court of Justice (along with the guarantees of independence of judges). The com- parative analysis of the rights and duties of judges of these bodies gives the reason to conclude that the differ- ences in the rights and duties of judges can be found only due to differences in the structure of these courts and the procedure of their operation. As for the normative regulation of the rights and duties of judges, the Law of Azerbaijan Republic «On Constitutional Court» contains an open list of the judges’ rights and the exhaustive list of the judges’ obligations. The relevant EU documents do not systematize the rights and obligations of the EU Court of Justice’s judges.
