Risk-based supervision in financial monitoring system

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to determine the nature and content of risk-based supervision of entities of initial financial monitoring that should be in the system of combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Methodology of research. The study used dialectical approach, methods of structural and logical analysis, comparison, systematization and generalization. Findings. Institutional foundations of risk-based supervision implementing in the system of financial monitoring are clarified. The content of such supervision is described, and its advantages are discovered. The sequence of its implementation and the evaluation criteria of financial institution risk profile are proposed. Practical value. Proposals developed in the article are aimed at improving the system of financial monitoring in Ukraine. They can be used by the entities of state financial monitoring including regulators of certain sectors of the financial market.
