ROLE OF THE HOTEL INDUSTRY IN THE TRANSACTION SECTOR OF THE ECONOMY

Abstract
The features of transformation (conversion of productive resources in the finished product) and transactional (service of resources, products or services redistribution process) sectors of economy are discovered in the article. It is proposed to include section I “Temporary localization and catering”, which comprises hotel companies in tо transactional sector. Types of the hotel industry transformation costs are distinguished including: equipment room stock costs and room customer service costs; salary of workers employed in room service. Hotel industry enterprises trends in Ukraine are analyzed in terms of: number of hotels (2000-2013); number of visitors in hotels and other places for temporary residence (2000-2013); distribution companies by the types of hotels (2013); dynamics of hotels income and expenses (2006-2013). Factors of transaction costs occurrence in hotel industry are determined in terms of economic, legal, organizational, psychological, technological and social groups.
