Roles and/or Users in the Web Application for Generating Employment Certificates

Journal Title: RHS-Revista Humanismo y Sociedad - Year 2025, Vol 13, Issue 1

Abstract

The rise of ICTs has made real-time access to information increasingly essential for organizations. In response, this study initially determined the requirements for systematizing the recruitment and hiring process for staff at an educational institution. Using a descriptive, qualitative methodology, the research identified key variables such as personal data, type and length of employment, salary scale, and job functions. The main objective was to develop a web application for generating employment certificates at the Corporación Universitaria Americana, Montería campus. Currently, this process is managed by the Human Talent Department and is noticeably slow, as employee records are stored in physical format. To overcome this limitation, information on administrative and teaching staff from 2015 to 2024 was digitized, uploaded to a server, and structured within the newly developed web application. It was then imported to a server and structured within the web application. The designed interface allows authorized users to generate certificates by entering their ID number and the type of certificate required. Thanks to algorithmic programming, the system streamlines the process, reducing time and optimizing human talent management.
