ROQUETE-PINTO E O DISCURSO SOBRE MÍDIA NA EDUCAÇÃO

Abstract
This article deals the contributions of Roquette Pinto in dissemination of educational radio, the first Brazilian initiative in media in education. The discourse on media education was an aspiration of the Manifest of 1932 as a proposal to renovate the national education. The ideals of the pioneers of New Education, discussed about technological resources, such as cinema and radio to transmit information and knowledge as an effective way for the democratization of culture in Brazil. Currently, the use of media in education and the teacher training is a speech present at school, which requires a consistent reflection on the role of media in teach activities.
