Abstract
У статті йдеться про особливості професії філолога, уточнено список якостей, які є значущими для цієї професії. Здійснений аналіз сучасних досліджень, що стосуються питань розвитку професійних якостей у майбутніх філологів у процесі формування їх професійної іншомовної компетентності, результати проведених психологічних діагностик й експериментального навчання доводять, що використання сучасних методів і професійно спрямованих завдань сприяє розвитку зазначених якостей.
