Abstract
In the article the role and place of the Rus’ka (Ukrainian) language is researched in the system of social and religious values of West Rus’ ecclesiastical elite. The research is focused on the language consciousness of the significant representatives of Uniate Clergy, namely metropolitan Kyprian Zhochovskyj, bishops Iosyf Shumliansky and Innocenty Winnicki and priest Petro Kaminskyi.
