Sacral art of painting: domestic scientific reflection

Abstract
Purpose of Article. The purpose of the article is to analyze and systemize the resources of the researching of the sacral art of painting, which are representatives of the works of Ukrainian scientists. Methodology. In the article, the author uses biographical, art and historical-cultural approaches, which allow us to inventory the previous scientific achievements and to distinguish some researched issues. Scientific novelty. The author is the first who systematizes the fundamental dissertation resources on this topic. In addition, he pays attention to the necessity of studying the sacral art as the complicated socio-cultural phenomenon by the methods of the modern art-culturological discourse, based on the interdisciplinary methodology and system paradigm. Conclusions. The sacral art of painting, particularly iconography, is very interesting for the modern art scientists and the representatives of the other sciences – philosophers, historians, architectures and cultural scientists. We can see it in a number of dissertation researches. However, some aspects of the sacral painting need more properly analysis and new scientific interpretation.
