Професійне свято — День землевпорядника — відзначається на Україні щорічно з 2000 року у другу суботу березня. Дата встановлена Указом Президента України № 1556/99 від 11 грудня 1999 року «Про день землевпорядника» на підтримку ініціативи Державного комітету України по земельних ресурсах і Спілки землевпорядників України та в світлі проведення земельних реформ з раціонального використання та збереження земельних ресурсів.
