Abstract
Islamic civilization perpetuated its progress until the 9th- 10th Centruies; a wide number of Works of both positive and religious sciences were translated and compiled. Following the recession period that lasted for two centuries, with the appearance of Seljuks, this recession came to end; under the protectorate of a strong political authority that protected science and ulema, scholars came to the Seljuk country and maintained their studies. Particularly in the positive sciences (mathematics, geometry, astronomy, physics, medicine and philosophy), in the 12th centruy, the greatest figures of Islamic civilization grew up in Seljukian geography. In this study, we will handle how this scientific heritage undertaken by the Seljuks reached the top, the scholars who achieved this end, their works and contributions to science and Turkish- Islamic civilization within the scientific environment provided by Sultan Sanjar.
