Screening of Papaya Genotypes Against Root-Knot Nematodes, Meloidogyneincognita and M. Javanicain Pot House

Abstract
Screening of papaya genotype or varieties carried out against Root-knot nematodes, Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica in pot house. There have taken result from observation of papaya genotypes viz., Shoot and root length, Shoot and root weight, Root-knot Index (0-5), Number of egg mass per root, Number of eggs per egg mass, Number of juveniles per 200 cm3 soil, Number of Females per 3 g root and total nematode population with relevant increasing or decreasing percentage. Papaya genotype (G-189) found moderately resistant against M. javanica, Whereas G-112 found moderately susceptible to M. incognita and M. javanica.
