Seasonal investigation of main physico-chemical parameters in terminal part of Gorganroud River during 2009-2010
Journal Title: Aquaculture, Aquarium, Conservation & Legislation - International Journal of the Bioflux Society - Year 2011, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
Water quality of the terminal part of Gorganroud River was investigated, during 2009-2010. Monthly values of dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, BOD, COD, electro conductivity, mineral nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium and ortho phosphate were measured in five stations. Despite the probability of introduction of waste waters, results show not serious problem in this part of the river, regarding to aims of the river usage.

Environmental load of wels (Silurus glanis) fed by feeds of different protein levels
The most dangerous effect of the environment on traditional and intensive fish farming is the released nutriment loaded effluent water. Intensity is increased and the nutriment intake by artificial feeds cannot be utiliz...
The influence of stocking density on the growth of common carp, Cyprinus carpio, in a recirculating aquaculture system.
The paper presents some aspects regarding the influence of stocking density on the breeding of the common carp in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS). The experiment covered a 30 dayperiod. It was conducted in four...
Macrozoobenthic community structure and dynamics in Cerna River (western Romania)
In order to determine water quality in Cerna River, researchers carried out analyses into the structure and dynamics of benthic macroinvertebrates communities as well as into the physical-chemical factors. 12 Groups of m...
Presence of multinucleate giant cells in normal thymus of nutria (Myocastor coypus)
Collected thymus from three 12-months-old clinically healthy nutria were histologically processed. Multinucleate giant cells have been observed occurring as a response to the existence of an acidophil material in relativ...
Optimal Water Temperature and Salinity for Production of Blue Swimming Crab, Portunus pelagicus 1st Day Juvenile Crab
A study was carried out to determine the optimal rearing conditions of the water temperature and salinity on the survival rate and molting of larvae stage until the 1st day juvenile crab (C1) of the blue swimming crab, P...
