Selection of Optimal Concept Solution for Preventing Wrong Fuel Using in Cars
Journal Title: Machine Design - Year 2017, Vol 9, Issue 3
Abstract
Manufacturers have still not found an adequate solution to prevent misfueling, nor have they found a solution to prevent damage. Car manufacturers offer a very large number of technological innovations in cars, but they still have not dealt enough with this case sufficiently. The paper presents the analysis of the frequency of occurrence of incorrect refueling and risk of ignition of the vehicle. We analyzed the specific case and given some of the conceptual solutions. The evaluation was performed and the optimal conceptual solution of the system for preventing wrong fuel using in cars and preventing damage was selected and demonstrated.

Comparative Analysis of Power Transmission Gearboxes with High Gear Ratios
In modern industrial practice, there is a growing need for power transmission gearboxes with high gear ratios. Until a few decades ago this requirement was solved using conventional gear types (cylindrical, bevel, worm a...
Cavitation Erosion Behavior of Some Gas Nitrated Steels
Older researches, conducted by Garcia and Hammitt (published in 1960) showed that hardness is an important factor in increasing the resistance of the surfaces exposed to cavitation erosion. As a result, in present more a...
Research Correlation Vegetation Index of Corn with Speed of Movement Sensor and Elevation of Field
This paper presents field scouting of corn in order to determine the content of nitrogen in the green parts of the plants. The aim was to measure the vegetative index using two optical sensors by OptRx AGL Technology. Th...
Improving Manufacturing Process Planning Through the Optimization of Operation Sequencing
Defining machining time and cost represents the basis for selecting the optimal process plan within the production system. The problem of optimizing process plans at the macro level includes two basic tasks that are perf...
Dynamic Analysis and Parametric Optimisation of the Connecting Rod Using Autodesk Inventor
This paper presents a case study on optimising a connecting rod, component of a spark-ignition engine, in order to minimise its weight and lower the inertia forces. For this purpose, we use the Autodesk Inventor Professi...
