Shapiro’s stylistic techniques in the translation of Oles Honchar’s novel “Banner-bearer”

Abstract
The article presents a linguistic description of the stylistic peculiarities observed by Lev Shapiro in translating O. Honchar’s novel “Banner-bearer” on the level of phraseologisms, comparisons and metaphors, and the peculiarities of their translation, and the expediency of a comparative study of the translated text is clarified. The object of the study are excerpts from the novel “Banner-bearer” by O. Нonchar. The subject of the description was the equivalence of the translation of the work of O. Нonchar “Banner-bearer”.
