СИНТАКСИЧНА НАДМІРНІСТЬ І СИНТАКСИЧНА КОМПРЕСІЯ ЯК ЗАСОБИ ЕКСПРЕСИВНОГО СИНТАКСИСУ В СУЧАСНИХ УКРАЇНСЬКИХ ТРЕВЕЛОГАХ

Abstract
У статті розглянуто експресивність мови сучасних українських подорожніх нарисів, зокрема її прояв на синтаксичному рівні. Досліджено синтаксичну надмірність і синтаксичну компресію як основні синтаксичні засоби експресивності, виявлено функції експресивних синтаксичних конструкцій. The article considers the expressiveness of the language of modern Ukrainian travel essays (travelogues), in particular, its manifestation at the syntactic level. The syntactic redundancy and syntactic compression as the main syntactic means of expressiveness have been investigated, the features of expressive syntactic constructions have been studied. The genre of travel essays or travelogues is becoming more and more popular because, due to the intensification of globalization processes, travelling gradually loses its status of exclusivity and is becoming more accessible to the ordinary citizen. This fact determines the relevance of our research. In the description of travelling, expressive means are implemented at different levels: lexical, phraseological, syntactic. The special rhythm of travelling and the mental organization of impressions from it are conveyed by syntactic structures, therefore, exploring the expressiveness of language means in a travel essay, one cannot overlook the issues of expressive syntax. The purpose of our work is to single out the most typical syntactic means that provide expression. In our study, we refer to the works of N. Kondratenko, according to which we distinguish two basic principles of a special syntactic organization of the text: syntactic redundancy and syntactic compression. Syntactic redundancy is characterized by the presence in the text of complicated constructions, multicomponent predicative units, the presence of compound and subordinate syntactic series. The travel essay is characterized by a series of homogeneous members of the sentence. They indicate, firstly, the abundance and variety of objects, which in turn is a measure of brightness, the exceptional nature of tourist impressions. Homogeneous predicates convey the intensity of specific sensory impressions, where the source of action is the external environment. These feelings-experiences are also an integral part of the tourist experience, and homogeneous members emphasize its completeness. Among the types of syntactic compression we distinguish text fragmentation and syntactic lacunarity. For travelogues, fragmentation is particularly typical; it is manifested in the parceling of certain parts of the sentence. Most often, the homogeneous members of the sentence are parcelled in the travelogues studied, that is, syntactic compression is combined with syntactic redundancy. The emergence of an increasing number of works of the genre is of great scientific interest in terms of linguistic and discursive analysis of texts of this type, which in turn provides the prospect of further exploration in this field.
