Siyasal Bilimler ve Uluslararası İlişkiler Alanında Sayısal Malzeme Kullanımı

Abstract
Bilim tarihi, genel olarak Sözlü, Yazılı, Sayısal dönemlere ayrılmıştır. 1960lı yılları takiben insan hayatına giren bilgisayar ve internet ile birlikte Ses, Yazı ve Görüntü malzemelerinin birlikte kullanıldığı Dijital Çağ başlamıştır. Sayısal malzeme kullanımı, insan hayatının her alanına yayılmasına rağmen, tarihsel temelleri olan kitap ve makaleye dayalı Sosyal Bilimler alanına tam anlamıyla girememiştir. Fotoğraf, Harita, Grafik, Ses, Video gibi malzemelerle Elektronik Kitap ve Makalelerle bunları üreten Fotoğraf Makinesi, Bilgisayar, Kamera, Mobil Telefon aygıtları bilimsel çalışmalara büyük katkı sağlamaktadır. Bildiri sunumu açısından TTS, API temelli interaktif haritalar, sayısal malzemeler içeren HTML tabanlı metinler ve uzaktan Video Bildiri gibi yöntemler, bilimsel toplantıları yeni teknolojilerle zenginleştirecektir. Bilimsel çalışmaların temelini oluşturan güvenilirlik ve objektiflik açısından, sayısal cihazların güvenliği ve üretilen malzemelerin, kamuoyu araçlarının, internet ve sosyal medya ağlarının güvenilirliğine de özellikle dikkat edilmelidir. Montajlanmış sahte fotoğraflar, gerçeklik algısı yaratan kurgu videolar bilimsel çalışmaların güvenliğini tehlikeye düşürmekle birlikte bunların tespiti konusunda yeni yöntemler ortaya çıkmıştır. Bilim adamları ve araştırmacıların, bilimsel çalışmalarını sayısal materyallerle zenginleştirmesi, desteklemesi ve sunması vazgeçilmez zorunluluk haline gelmiştir.
