Abstract
The article deals with the issue of Slovak Official Development Assistance (ODA). We provide a brief overview of the historical development of the ODA in Slovakia, its aims, and its division into bilateral and multilateral aid. We are devoted to the territorial focus of the assistance and we evaluate the development of the expenses used for ODA related to the development of the gross national income and gross domestic product (GDP). In the closing part of the article we evaluate the functionality of the ODA SR and we suggest possible solutions for existing issues.
