SOCIAL EDUCATION OF YOUNGER GENERATION IN BOARDING EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN UKRAINE (1956-1991)

Abstract

In the article the author presents a retrospective analysis of the system of education of children in schools in Ukraine (1956-1991). The main tasks of the education, the goal, the result and the means of achieving it in the country are considered. The methodological basis, on which the social and educational work with children growing up outside the family, is grounded. The author considers various kinds of education of children, as moral, aesthetic, physical, labor, social and others. The peculiarities of the boarding schools’ work as a center of children’s social education are highlighted. The preconditions of the creation of new types of educational institutions, as well as organizational and methodological conditions for effective usage of pedagogical technologies and methods of educational work in them, are revealed and analyzed.
