Abstract
The necessity of researching the problem of the protection of administrative personnel of regimes and penal institutions as a prerequisite for the reform of the penitentiary system of Ukraine is considered. The basic legal acts, which establish and define the basis of protection of administrative personnel of penitentiary regimes and institutions, are determined. The views of scientists on the socio-legal regime of protection of administrative personnel of penitentiary bodies and institutions are analyzed.
