Specificity of the spoken variety art on television: issues of development and genre formation

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to find out the peculiarities of the transformation of small forms of the spoken va-riety art under the influence of television. The methodology of the research is based on the application of such general scientific and specific scientific methods: analytical – in considering art studies literature on the research subject; histori-cal – in tracing the stages of development of television theaters of miniatures; structural-functional – to clarify the specif-ics of the spoken variety art on television, comparative-typological – to identify the similarities and differences of televi-sion and variety art as a form of art; conceptual – for the analysis of the main genre component of the spoken variety show on television. The scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time the specificity of variety miniature on the television screen has been researched. Conclusions. It has been found out that the on-screen miniature, in contrast to the stage, is characterized by "seriality" – the ability to create a "play" with a continuation. This feature affects the dramaturgical component of the miniature, as a result of which the emphasis shifts: as a TV show with more or less long-term development of the plot and, at a minimum, the presence of the same actors and performers (as an example of the television theater of miniatures). The genre palette of spoken variety show on the television has been clarified, and new forms have been identified, which appeared on the television screen as a result of the partnership of scenic and screen arts.
