SPHERE OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AS A DECISIVE FACTOR FOR FORMING THE ECONOMY OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE TERRITORY OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The article analyzes the features of the functional structure and history of modern emergence and the current state of development of the economic structure known as the knowledge economy. It is proved that the sphere of educational services is the platform and the first echelon in the modern knowledge economy. At the same time, based on the World Bank statistics, it is shown that the excess of spending on education does not have a direct positive impact on the country's rating in the dynamic growth of the integrated indicator of the knowledge economy. The main ways of transformation of the national economic structure in the direction of forming a competitive knowledge economy through the reform of the educational services sector are identified.
